

Dr. Lina Rawlings, affectionately known as “Dr. R” by her students, brings deep experience in communication, leadership, and training to Peak Speak. She holds a Ph.D. in Communication, an MBA, and a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Organizational Management from the University of Colorado.
Her career spans both corporate training and higher education, giving her a practical and people-centered approach to professional development. She has served as a Director of Admissions for for-profit universities, where she supported student success and worked closely with people from many backgrounds and goals.
As a Professor of Communication Studies, Dr. Rawlings has taught courses such as Interpersonal Communication, Communication in Healthcare, Public Speaking, Group Communication, and Organizational Communication. She understands how to translate communication theory into real-world skills people can use immediately.
Her research has examined how relationships and support are shaped in digital spaces, including the role of emojis and online communication in providing social support. That same curiosity and expertise now fuels the work she does with organizations, teams, and professionals who want to communicate better, lead well, and grow stronger together.

Residing at the Front Range Mountains base in Colorado, Dr. Rawlings enjoys a picturesque family life with her husband and two lively children, aged 8 and 5. Amid the busyness of family life, she has maintained her love for portrait photography, turning it into a cherished hobby.
